Ways to give
When you give to the River Haven Sanctuary, you become a member of our farm family and join us in transforming the lives of vulnerable animals. We are grateful for contributions of all sizes – every little bit makes a meaningful impact! Below are some of the ways you can contribute to the day-to-day care of our animals. We’d love for you to play a part!
CONTRIBUTIONS TO CARE
Help us keep the animals feeling their best. Contributions to care will fund regular hoof trims and routine care such as vaccines, wellness exams and dental care for the horses, donkeys, pigs and goats.
CONTRIBUTIONS OF FOOD
Donations for the purchase of food will help us continue to provide the best nutrition possible for our animals. The primary source of food for the majority of our animals is hay. We buy the best quality timothy and orchard grass hay we can source, and we laboratory test samples to ensure it is meeting our animals’ nutritional needs. We also provide supplements, vitamins and minerals to fill in any gaps in our animals’ diets.
SYMBOLiC ADOPTION
Provide monthly support for any of our resident animals and help us ensure they always receive the excellent nutrition, training and care they deserve.Symbolic adopters will receive a handmade stuffie of their animal as a thank you and are invited to join our quarterly adopters-only Facebook live streams.Adoptions make a great gift!
Contributions to Medical Fund
Contributions to the medical fund will be used to cover the cost of emergency care. The medical fund creates a safety net for our animals that ensures they receive prompt and effective medical attention as soon as they need it.
